Fits right into my bong adding filtration of the tars pot leaves behind. My bong wont take the stem filter, its outside main .Several yrs ago as I was taking flight lessons the plane caught on fire after taking off, @ 300ft in the air. Breathing electric wires and fuel burning took a toll on my lungs. This combo of this pipe set as the bowl in the bong smoothes out the hit making it possible to smoke without coughing fit. Wish I got one sooner.

Im a daily smoker who was having a lot of mucus with what looked like resin or suet in it after smoking or early in the mornings. Since using the filter it's not an issue anymore.
